I munched on this as I listened to Rebuilding the City, a sermon about what it means to bring the Kingdom to earth, wherever you are.
It reminded me to minister when in foreign lands. This doesn't mean that you have to go on a mission trip, but meaning you may be away from home in college, or in a new place for a short time, and that you should invest in that place.
Do not hang up your harps and cease to sing because this place is not your home. Write new songs.
If you are there for only a year, seek ways to restore homes and repair lives, because the only time you have is the present.
